It
has been a long day. Our flight was the
red eye out of Nairobi to Amsterdam. We
were all exhausted as after graduation, we packed our bags, ate dinner and said
our good byes to the Heart staff. We
couldn’t wait to get on the plane and sleep.
Every day of this trip was go, go, go. From the moment we got to the Heart lodge, the
next morning we were up early and off to our first event. Absolutely no time for jet lag or catching up
on sleep. We are all super excited to
see our families, share our trip with all of you and enjoy our US comforts. J
Is it bad that I’m salivating over any US food? Good eating is going out the door! Cookies
and Mexican food sound great! The next
few days will take be an adjustment with regards to sleep. But the real work will come in the weeks or
maybe months ahead of processing what I saw, how I felt and what God wants me
to do with it. I will continue to pray
for the Lord’s clarity on what He wants me to do with what I just saw. I continue to think of the women, their
stories and how I could have been living in the slums of Africa. But God chose me to be in America and has
blessed me beyond measure. It is
biblical that I help the orphans and the widows. The
bible also says, those who are blessed or given more, more is asked of them. I pray I can continue to give more than I can
to shine like He wants me to. J
